Our Story
MaxSafe Services Ltd was founded in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, by two marine surveyors who have spent their careers on the docks, in the holds, and on the water, not behind a desk.
Our senior founder entered the marine cargo surveying profession in the 1960s and has since built a truly global career, surveying cargo and vessels across ports on nearly every continent. Over more than six decades in the field, they have handled virtually every type of cargo inspection and claim a surveyor can encounter — from bulk and breakbulk shipments to containerized freight, project cargo, and specialized commodities — working directly with shipowners, cargo interests, insurers, and P&I clubs around the world.
Alongside this deep foundation, MaxSafe is led in partnership with a second principal surveyor who brings decades of specialized experience of their own in this exact field. Together, the two founders bring more than 100 years of combined, hands-on marine surveying experience to every client engagement.
That experience is the foundation MaxSafe Services Ltd is built on: independent, technically rigorous marine cargo surveying backed by a level of real-world expertise that is exceedingly rare in the industry today.
